Question : Getting following error when trying to open Lab Manual in Network simulator.
"HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component."
Solution:
The reported error occurs if Adobe PDF reader
add-on is disabled in Internet Explorer. To enable it please follow following
steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer go to settings and select "Manage add-ons".
2. From "Show" drop down select "All add-ons".
3. Select "Adobe PDF Reader" and click on "Enable" button provided at bottom. Close and exit IE.
Now the application should work without any issue.
Question : Getting following error when trying to open Lab manual in Network simulator.
"Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'IOleControl'."
Solution :
The reported error occurs if Adobe PDF reader is installing new updates while Network simulator is still running. Please exit Network simulator completely, install latest updates for Adobe reader then application should work with out any errors.
